i have been following Ciara’s denim trends via the internet and it just so happens that she has been wearing a lot of jeans that we currently carry in the store and will be carrying in the store. 

from left to right...

current/elliott denim jacket – we are getting it in!  she is wearing some pink jeans that are so cute (not sure exactly what they are but we will be getting some in by Twenty8Twelve)

j brand jean in birdie – her abs are amazing!  she rocks the crop top.

j brand jean in torn jett – love her top!

rockstar denim – trying to get it!  plus a kain label tank we are getting in.

current/elliott – not getting these in but her outfit looks hot!

current/elliott – ripped up jeans that we’ll be getting in!  yay!

p.s this picture reminds me of what my sister looks like when she rolls out of bed in the morning, throws on the same jeans she’s been wearing for a week, puts on her weird little booties that she manages to pair with everything and strolls in for work…hmmm

so while we’re talking about me stalking showrooms…let me just tell you a little story about current elliott…

i don’t know if my obsession with current elliott began when i realized how fabulous their denim was or when i realized i couldn’t carry their line because of the boutique across the street that got their hands on them first.  in the boutique world, their is a little rule called "proximity" that states you cannot carry the same brand as another store within a 3 mile radius.

obviously, this was a big problem for me.  regardless, i kept calling the showroom everyday asking if i could place an order.  i think they were perplexed that i kept calling as if i had never called before, asking for different people, pretending to be different people, and seeing if i could just carry the jeans online and not in the store (wink, wink) but nothing would break them.  i was almost ready to give up when i was on my daily trip across the street to get my "in person" current elliott fix (the feel of their denim is addicting!) when i saw a note on the door that said "going out of business sale".  was it wrong of me to be so excited??  (ok in my defense, the boutique was going out of business not because of anything to do with finances but instead, the pursuit of a graduate degree).

well, i did what you would expect, ran back across the street, got on the phone and told current elliott the news.  2 days later, the jeans were in my store…and now they’re online…so buy them before i take them all home!!
